Hey! my name's Beth, I'm 16 and live in Kent. Here is just a little bit about me and my life. One of my main ambitions is to become an art therapist. Quite an unusual career option, but what mainly interests me is being able to work together with people and their emotions, to view life from a different perspective, through colour, shape and sculpture. I adore anything creative! being able to challenge my imagination . I am currently studying childcare, art and religious education for my GCSE options. I hope to continue my education, and enter my school's 6th form. I have entered to study four A levels: Biology, English Literature, Sociology and Philosophy. These subjects mainly appeal to me due to the in-depth analysis and research involved. I love everything bursting with colour! as I have a very colourful personality! My main interests are spending time with my amazing friends! drawing and listening to a wide variety of music. A lot of people say that I am one of the happiest people they know, which is the smiliest thing ever! There is hardly a time when I'm not smiley! My friends are the most special people I know! and I thank them greatly for helping me, be me! At home I live with my mum, three cats and a guinea pig, who are all extremely small and noisy! (not my mum of course, my mum's amazing!) I visit my dad on the weekend which is great, being in a village, you notice the contrast from crazy Canterbury! I have four fab older sisters, who are quite inspirational to me, they have taught me lots about the 80's, fudge, the world, university and growing up (or being reminded of growing up! ha ha....cheers guys!) And I have recently became the proudest aunty ever! to my ickle nephew Alex! The funkiest little man alive! My favourite current music artists are The Killers, Jack Johnson, Matt Redmann, The libertines, Damien Rice and not forgetting Olly Knight! our own Damien rice-a-likey. I'm also a big fan of music from the sixties (which I know sounds unusually ancient to all fellow 16ers!) Not just through being so free and flowery but because of the great tune it carries! My favourite 60's artists are Melanie, Kirsty McColl, Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, T-Rex and The Kinks! I've been described as a spiritually natured person, and recently have experienced one of the most fulfilling experiences ever, since becoming a Christian. I never envisaged myself being here, and had never really questioned it, Religion was something I decided to study at school and has now, amazingly become a part of me! Through one of my greatest friends, Britt I was invited here, firstly in beginning a youth club which took place fortnighlty each Friday, In which I was introduced to the greatest guys n' girlies ever! People who devote their time in bringing us all together, and this just evolved! Now each Tuesday I attend an Alpha course with these guys, exploring life together, and building new relationships! It was on a weekend away offered through this course, that I became a Christian, My friend Britt prayed with me, and again brought me closer to a missing part of my life . Not only have I seen an amazing development in me but most importantly in my friends! I am not sure on the views of each of you guys reading this, but personally I've seen God work in amazing ways through so many people! I hope that this not only continues to grow through our generation but to the next!
